Is it EK09PVY in Belle vue on the 29th?
Cap clean says £11,850
Average £11,200
I think it's worth 12k retail and will probably make 11.4 plus fees! hardly worth it, just as well go get one for 12k with the wheels done, a warranty and more likely a 1 owner car!
Be interesting to hear what it makes if you go.
All the best

My dad is a buyer for a car supermarket !!
January is a mega busy month for them ,I speak to him most days .
He is struggling at moment to buy cars , because they are making so much in auctions !
He goes most days with an open cheque book !!!
Some days he comes back with 3 or 4 cars , sometimes 20 or so !
It's all the car supermarket buyers from over the county ,bidding against each other !!
Added in with other traders and joe public !!!
Not very cheap cars anymore !!!
He does get plenty cheap , but most need a little work !!

I would assume the buyers strategy for profit is to earn money selling the car on finance and winding a 3 year extended 5* warranty into the buyer for 5-600 quid. Madness but i guess they do what they have to as no doubt their overheads are still pumping away. Shit isn't it!?
I was a platinum card holder buying around 140 a year out of bca. I source elsewhere now and doubt I've bought 10 from them in the last 18 months!

surely a trader buying 20 cars a week at 100 quid a pop buyers fee (thats a guess I don't know the real cost) is better than a privateer like me turning up trying to buy one every 3 years for 500 quid buyers fee
thats what I meant, the fact that me and the trader next door are not on a level playing field is what I meant, years ago we were when the fees were the same for all

Gold card is 10-99 cars. Platinum card is 100-499 cars. Black card is 500+ (supermarket).
At platinum level the fees on that are near £200.
My point was, the car will sell whatever. The auction make their money on fees.
The 11,900 is for the vendor the fees are the auctions. They would sooner have had you buy it and pay 6-700 in fees that get say 200 off me. The trader will still buy his, to take your example, 20 cars a week, just not that one and that one paid out a 'bonus' for the auction. Does that make sense?
You're right, you and he are not on a level playing field regarding your invoice total. But the hammer price is the same, he just has loyalty discount on his fees. That's fair enough right?
Next time get chatting to a trader and ask them to put the car on his account with his fees you pay the invoice at the payment window and give him a £100 drink. You'd be 3-400 better off
it happens and some build it into a revenue stream!
