I can do ever roll cage one is a lot cheaper I no and will leave me with more cash for other parts,does it do anything to the handling have a welded cage?

obvioulsy the welded in cage will be stronger as it then becomes part of the structure of the car,the bolt in one may flex unless you also bolt it to the A and B pillars which will help.both will save you from a roll its depends on what you intend to do in the car and the level of protection you want

a bolt in cage will obviously be easier to fit/remove whereas a welded one is going to be in there for the duration

on the other hand, if you weld it in wrong, you can't just drill another hole in the floor

a lot of cages now i've seen have "gusset's" welded along the a piller's as this is where you will need the most protection

I'm not gonna sell the car at any point and I don't intend on rolling it lol, it had a bolt in cage before I bought the shell so it's ready for one to go straight in and would be a quicker way of getting on the road and like u said could just use a few gussets to strengthen it

i had a bolt in cage in my xr2, it really tightened the car up.
however i would go back and use gussets in the a and b pillars as i could see the flex between shell and cage.

I have a bolt in one in mine but iam changing it for a full weld in one so i can have it fixed to the a/b pillers

no they flexi to much hole reason they bolt in .go for a weld in cage if your keeping it and heavy track use
