Hey I have been looking around at speakers and cd players for my car.. but there are millions out there.. i was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I just want some decent speakers in teh front (no 6x9s on teh parcel shelf!!!) and a decent cd player... for not too much...

also if anyone knows any good websites or shops or second hand places etc... taht would be fab too!

well my speakers are terrible, and u ahve to ahve the bass right down as it sounds awful otherwise!!

Seeing as no-one else is answering...

Best thing to do is go into Halfords and ask the person at the stereo counter [they're normally pretty clued up in there] what "direct Replacement" speakers you can get for your car [is it a corsa?] they will be uprated speakers, better than what you;ve got at the minute [which are more than likley paper cones]

Cheapest will probably be Kenwood and they'll be able to giev you the EXACT model number for the ones that fit your car, front AND back.

Then go on fleebay and buy them cheaper

Good thing about halfords tho, if you DO actully buy from there, is that they will fit them for you [for a price of course]

Head unit, just get something with a CD in it, and unless you're looking for audiophile quality sound, anything around Ł80-100 should be adequate

right i disagree if you are changing the speaker get decent one alpine/infinity as fot headunits get alpine or pioneer and get your self a nice little 4channel amp to run them you won't be disapointed for that little lot you looking at aroung Ł300 pounds try www.bassjunkies.com they do good prices

or maybe i should buy it slowly over hte summer and get an ipod one as im going to buy an ipod in teh summer and that way i wont need cds?? and they wont clutter the car.. and if its broken into they wont get stolen....
