when fitting a new cambelt to a cvh does the bottom pulley have to be at tdc or slightly clockwise off centre???

and does the cam pulley have to be directly in line with the timing mark on the head??

yes both crank and cam pulleys have to be lined up with their respective marks, thats 0 degrees for the crank and the pointer on the cam pulley at twelve o clock to line up with the "dot" mark on the head.Regards Micky
