Jag XF is an awesome car. Far cooler than a bmw imho. I'd love to be able to afford the XFR .

you can get a 4 yr old supercharged v8 for about Ł16k......

There's a double-R?!?!?! If the R is 510bhp, wtf is an R-R?!?!?!

I can't afford any of them, it's just recently I've really begun to take notice of them, and I think they are stunningly gorgeous - far more so than Merc's, Beemer's, even Audi's - but the young man in me (christ, I'm not even 31 yet!!!) just think's I need to pack on about 20 years before I can see myself driving a Jaaaaaag

But the XF-R is an animal - but can be sublimely civilised and comfortable when you just want to cruise in it! Clarkson's review on it said "it's so soft and it's so absorbent, it's like sitting on a fat dog" Then you turn the traction off and donut the fuck out of it

I've seen there's a "lower" supercharged V8 (XF-S model?) that's 385bhp, but if you're gonna do it, might as well get the R, no? Autotrader at the mo has a 2011 XF-S for Ł25,950, then a 2009 XF-R for only Ł27,450! And it's not like there's a million miles on the XF-R; the S has 21,118, and the R has 45,687.

If only someone would lend me Ł60k - 30 for the car, and the other 30 to keep it juiced

^ That's fucking awesome! Love the fact it's "electronically limited to 186mph" - the XF-R is "limited" to 155mph, but actually does 165 before the limited cuts in and reigns it back So I wouldn't be surprised if this knocked on the door of 200mph

About 5 mins, but basically I only put the wheels on lol. It's difficult to say for the whole car, in trim and final (assembly) there are just under a 100 sections and each process is just under 5 minutes. There can be anything from 1-4 people on a process. You've also got to take into account press shop, paint, quality control inspections, road test etc.etc. Great place to work mind.

Do agree, Jaguar have got their mojo back recently, the new XF and XJ are very nice, jaguar were starting to slip into the lazy porsche school of design, not anymore!

Still some nice ideas in the pipeline and the sound of the F type is absolutely gorgeous. It is quite possibly the sexiest exhaust note, I have ever heard.

Not really feeling the look of the XFR-S model there, the rear spoiler looks especially tacky.

The normal XFR is a great looking car though.
