Default Performance figures & Power to weight ratios

Has anyone got any good data for a genuine 500Bhp 2wd Cossie performance?

What sort of 0-100 & 30-130 could you reasonably expect?

Just looking at some power to weight ratios, a genuine 520Bhp 2wd saff weighing in at approx 1300Kgs is still a pretty handy package , coming in at 400Bhp/ tonne!

Great little calculator here, even tels you what cars are comparable to your power to weight

Heres some proper stats from 2003 Totb qualifiers. All but two of those cars claimed 500bhp non were stripped out racers. The thing you notice is the incredible difference in Performance, its Torque you need at this caper. It was certainly the largest gathering of 500 brake cars.

I would imagine fairly narrow tyres & poor rear beams show up in the 0-100 times, were you on your Jag diff & beam then Rod? Taking it that was your 500/500 spec?

I've never weighed the 3 Door but book valve is 1270kg and i'm a generous 120kg so 1390kg all in.

So my PWR is 433bhp per tonne with just the car or 396bhp per tonne with me as well.
So I cost the car 37bhp

Lee,s 0-60 time there is stunning.

Not a Cossie but I managed 0-100 in 8.71 secs in my Evo, 420 bhp 427ft/lb and I,m not a great launcher tbh

mine is quite slow at 380bhp and 1250kg it comes back 304bhp per ton.

Not bad that on paper it beats these:
BMW M5 (E60) - (278)
Ferrari 550 Maranello - (287)
Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG - (295)
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - (997) (302)

although in reality i suspect those cars are more refined in thier power delivery than a cossie.

I went out in a lads V10 M5, it really didn't feel fast at all, although it did sound the tits .. All well & good having 507Bhp, but weighing in at 2 tonnes kills it I think?

How much power & torque do you think a cossie (lets say 2wd saph) would need to take one of them?

put the wieghts in the link above.

considering a saph is just over 1200kg it should be about 340bhp if you look at my figures.

My standard S600 BI-TURBO:
power to weight only 240bhp BUT:
0-30mph 1.8sec
0-60mph 4.5sec
0-100mph 10.2sec
0-150mph 15.9sec
Qtr mile-13sec @ 114mph
191mph top speed
0-100mph-0 14.8secs

Its the 600ft lb torque that makes her fast....not that much off quoted 500bhp cossies!!!! When its got the DMS remap it will be quite a bit quicker!

Depends on spec

Because a t4 low comp car won't touch a upto date cossie with gt/gtx or even efr turbo and standard compression on an aftermarket ecu
