right taken delivery of my bargain kit... hey Nath ;P
What the fook is the clay all about
can honestly say, never used clay on my car before
What order should these be used See, I probably only wash the car a few times ayear, so abit out of touch, and seeing as we have a 4 day weekend, will give the motor a clean
Clay kit
Clear coat body scrub
NXT Tech Wax

Ok, no need to keep rubbing it in!!
Yep....
Wash
Dry
Clay
CCBS
NXT
I have never used any of the Meg's stuff yet either mate so don't know what to expect!! Apparently you're supposed to break about a third of the clay off, 'nead' it about abit + make a small disc with it. Then, spray on the 'lube' (ooo err) and lightly rub it over, occasionally folding it about to expose a clean 'side' as it pulls the shit out. To me, this sounds a load of old bollocks + can't see it doing anything as imo, although not very recently waxed, my car is very clean. That being said, I've heard nothing but good things about this though so I'm hoping to be shocked + impressed!
Will, hopefully be doing mine this weekend, all depends if I can use my old man's workshop as he may be working (thus me probably working too actually)!!

The clay is supposed to pull out of the paint all the little stuck in pieces of crap that you may feel when running your hand across ya paint, I fooking can't though, to make it like smooth like glass!!
Then you use the srub to clean/polish out all the swirls/scratches/bird shit marks etc ready to polish! Apparently the clay process makes polishing etc loads easier as you're not dragging ya cloth/towel over the small ingrained crap.

Not really 'up' on the whole lube thing yet!! Will have to see as you go, but yep, I would expect the same, so I suppose you wipe the lube off afterwards.

The Body scrub is similar to T-Cut in the job it does I think, but no-where near as abbrasive + such a complete bastard to use! Although I read somewhere to not do any of it in direct sunlight (obviously) + to do one panel at a time with the scrub + wipe it off before it dry's.
No porbs mate, get some pics when done, I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Spent 2 days at the weekend, and wow, I'm impressed!! Didn't expect the clay to do shit but when you 'lube up' then rub it about with your fingers you can feel the bits, then the clay takes them off!! Amazed!! Car looks proper after the full treatment!
