alot of man hours would go into building that. that man is going to be on a good wage to be able to have the expertise and knowhow to build an engine like that. then there is the cost of the parts. especially the billet parts. if they are not mass produced parts they will be very expensive and i know that as i do it for a living. and lastly i guess there is the dreaded selling fee. i make it £6.100 fee?!?! But i must admit it made me gasp when i saw price!

Ebay uses a fixed fee over a set amount, so its more like £75, however paypal will charge 4%

of i know that too well,

we used to go watch customers of ours with GC8 STi`s after fresh builds drive them....... then listen to excuses after they stacked them/ put rods through the block downshifting them at 9million rpm and wonder why we didnt cover warranty

To any of the doubters! I listed the engine on e bay to see all your reactions. You didn't dissapoint us and we have sold some engines off the back of e bay. If you want to come see how we squeeze 700ft/lbs of torque out of a yb with 45mm intake restrictor we will be having a open day in the new year.

Good isn't

If you hang around long enough they will not only tell you what to charge for your engines but how to build them to

Not good to waste 11 months especially at Rod's age, and with his health problems (please don't take that the wrong way Rod, you know my health issues and its just yet another reason to be pissed off IMO )

Is the girdle all sorted Mark? What dry sump was Rod going to use instead of the pace setup? Or am I well behind?

Please post the open day date I'll be there. lol love it your not wrong jay was a good read. I spent 7k to do 5 laps in 2011 in karts. Motorsport is big big money. Phone jg and get a real prise of him.

I've seen people spend of 100k a year on 12 year old kids that will never make it into the top ten. Unless you are involved with Motorsport you will never understand. RC is top level motorsport with f1 performace for nothing like what they spend. if you want to win spend the money if not enjoy finishing mid pack.

Welcome Scott. This is the real world of YB Tuning .

PF is the biggest Ford site in the UK its got lots of YB fanatics BUT the average punters wants the worlds fastest Cossie for sub 10k . Spend over that & you are hard core or nuts. At 25k + ive spent more than most on an engine & most think thats crazy. So the reaction on here is just what i would expect. Spending 60k on an engine with a relatively low headline power figure (Thats what they look at.) when they believe 'their mate' got 700bhp for £8k aint going to go down very well .

Only very few on here want a race engine & the prices are silly for the Tesco run. You sell these engines so they are worth the money if serious competition is your game but to expect a easy ride on PF is not going to happen .

hi martin
i did it was from puhing these in

it broke into o ring groove

but i repaired it

mark and rod wanted to me to make drysump pumps ,which i did

but then rod said they had decided on a 4 stage one ,which would have meant making new shafts to make the extra stage and i had lost that much money on it ,and mark blaming me for the delay when rod said he hadnt even started it , then when i said there would be a delay for pumps rod said it best if i refunded which was by far the cheapest option for me

mark

Rod has kept all the pm's some there's more to it than someone is letting on,
So you loose confidence in someone to deliver a product in a timescale and to a quality that can be used.
We can now get on with sorting it by myself.
