Default Poor dealership

Just checking servis history on car i have just purchased and i must say it is first class ,the only problem is the cam belt should of been changed at 62500 mls i contacted the previous owner an d
he was quite shocked to find out this as the clock now reads 115000

why was he shocked. should the miles be higher? doesnt sound like the service history is first class if youve found a discrepancy though.

history is first class contacted dealer and they said they dont know how they missed it

to me first class is when everythings bang up to date and right with nothing missed. missing such an important service item would set alarm bells ringing thinking about what else has been missed or isnt right.

what car is it,maybe it hasnt even got a belt? or maybe it WAS done but the reciept was lost?

Its a 2007 mk 4 mondeo 2.0 auto diesel main dealer says it does have a belt previous owner is anoid that dealership did not re new it owner did not know it had to be changed at 62500 or 5yrs

125,000miles or 10 years on the 2.0 TDCi!
I'm about to get mine done now.

Don't know where you got the 62500 from? Although thats what the Haynes suggests.

As yours is a 2008 mine is a 2007 and the ford etis site says 62500 mls

Very strange. As far as I was aware there is no difference in 2.0 diesel engines between those years. They are all DW10 PSA engines.
