hi ive just bought these wheels and ive realised that there are wheel nut inserts missing in some of the wheels.
as you can see in this pic one wheel nut hole has a tapered insert but it looks like the other 3 holes are missing them.


can these be replaces?
is it normal?
what can i do?
im new to ford wheels so im a bit worried

never seen those removed, I thought they had been machined out

i know its very odd. here's a pic of all 4 and as you can see all the 4 wheels have had some taken out/or lost. so if they were machined out id have expected some form of pattern not just odd ones out of odd wheels?

Im no wheel expert but would have a thought a decent engineering company would be able to help

yeah agreed i only went to buy the wheels as they were a descent price, the seller was cool and i beleive him when he says he never noticed. and he had them fitted to a anglia a long time ago and since have just been in his shed.

it is very strange and abit annoying as they were a great price for the condition but obviously need sorting which will bump the price right up

You used to be able to buy them from Ford years ago, it was known as a Ghia conversion kit, I think Speedshack still sell them.

they are laser alloys hope you didn;t pay RS money for them ?

you used to be able as said to buy the insert when fitting FWD allos to RWD cos the holes were biigger ?

noo wouldve been £60 but i thought the design was rs 4 spoke.
and i didnt buy them in the end as its too much effort to put right for just a spare set of wheels

What bortaf means by laser is Capri Laser alloys.Iirc they are a different j too escort RS alloys.I maybe wrong plus the mk1 RS alloys are thinner where the nuts go.

i know what your both saying dude like the rs wheels are rare and these are common as muck. and they both have different offsets and what not.

but as im a peugeot man i just call them rs 4 spokes as they look the same to me (sorry RS fan boys)
