STOLEN Skoda Octavia vRS ****UPDATE****
Afternoon all,
My house was broken into last night and both my cars were taken. My Mondeo has been found burned out already but the Skoda is still at large.
Was taken from Newbury this morning sometime between midnight and 5am. Possibly heading towards Andover which is where my mobile (also taken) was last in contact with the network.
I guess it could be anywhere by now but if anyone in the West Berks or North Hants area can keep an eye out I'd appreciate it.
VRN : GV04 EVM
Silver, approx 84K miles
Distunguising features :
Small repair on the rear bumper
Stone chip on the bonnet over the drivers side headlight
small scuff on the front nearside corner bumper
Drivers side floor mat has a couple of small holes worn in it.
Other than that it's a standard Octavia vRS.
Here's a few recent pics.
If you see it around please give me a call on 07795671580.
thanks for looking..
Martyn

Seeing as the mondy has been found burnt out it gives little hope for the skoda imo.Wank somone has been in your house for the keys.Bit of luck the skoda will be found smashed to bits with the little scrotes still inside it and lifeless thats my opinion on the matter anyway.

i dont get why they go to the effort of burglarising a house then steal cars only to burn them out.
are joyriders now that fucking desperate for kicks that they break in to get the keys now??
Sounds like too much hard work for the kind of wasters and loosers who are into joyriding.

I've seen the Mondeo and collected a few bits and bobs out of it but it all stinks of burned plastic will probably all go in the bin anyway..
Will post up some pics once I get them off my phone.
The Police think they might have needed a big car for another job that night hence the Mondeo estate being taken.. and the Skoda was just a bonus as the keys were there. Might be on false plates by now and being used by someone for a bit of fun..
who knows the mentality of these low lives. All I know is Ive got a shit loads of stuff to sort out and will probably end up 700 or 800 quid out of pocket running up to Xmas and the poeple who did it will get off scott free to go and do the same to some other person later in the week when they get bored / need the next drug fix..

update, car found, bad guys locked up..
2 scrotes arrested during another robbery in Newbury two days later. They were searched and one of them had my phone in his pocket and when they went round his house they found the Skoda (pretty much in one piece I think) and in his house they found the key to the Skoda and a few other items that were taken from my house.
They appeared in court on Friday and were remanded in custody until thier hearing in a couple of weeks time where, all being well, they will get sent down as they both have previous convictions for burglary.
So they have been caught and locked up which is a pretty good result compared to where we were at the start of the week.. Just need to get the car back to see what state it's in before I decide what to do.
House insurance is sorted, just waiting for the cheque now, so that just leaves the Mondeo to sort out a settlement for.. can't wait for that little battle..

I don't know names (yet) but I know where one of them lived as some of the recovered items I collected were still in the evidence bags with the address from where they were recovered.
However I'm hoping that he wont be there for a while since he'll be detained at her majesties pleasure..
If I can find out the date of their hearing I might go and sit in the public gallery and (hopefully) see them get sent down for it.. Nice bit of closure.. Probably drive to court in the car they nicked too... LOL....

Finally got to see the Skoda today and it's damaged so that's more time before I get it back while it's repaired.. Both front and rear bumper damaged so should be repairable.. Doubt they will write it off for that but if they do I shall take the payout and ask to buy it back.
They have also used what little fuel there was in the tank so asuming they ragged it everywhere they must have done about 40 or 50 miles. Lets hope there's no lasting damage to the engine / gearbox etc..

Thieving little cunts, I'd like to say I hope they get a few years, but they probably won't cos our limp wristed judicial system is wank at best.
Probably a few months, a fine ( which they can't/won't pay ) and back out after a few lessons in how not to get caught doing burglaries, to carry on as normal........I feel your pain.
And a real shame, cos I only looked at your for sale thread last week, really seriously looking at these cars now, but not if they're hot property for the drive-away type squad.

I really think they only took the car as the keys were there in the house.
can't believe they specifically targeted an 8 year old Skoda Octavia but who knows what goes through the minds of these scumbags..

thanks
It will get sorted eventually.. It just takes time and you know getting a good value out of the ins co for the Mondeo is just going to be hard work.. assuming it's written off that is.. still haven't had that confirmed yet..

It was only bumper damage front and rear and it had less than quarter a tank of fuel and I presume they never put any more fuel in it as it would have been picked up on the garage forecourt camaras. So even if they ragged it round Newbury they probably have done no more than 30 or 40 miles..
should be getting it back later this week.. then I'll know what I want to do with it.. but right now the thought of going through the hastle of selling and buying yet another car does not fill me with a warm feeling.. ....

Shame you have to wait so long for it back, hopefully the damage is minimal. Looked a good car, I debated putting a bid on it when you put it for sale earlier in the year.
