Default Whos good with French shite?

Mate of mine has a 56 plated Megane 1.5 dci, wont start and says 'injection fault' on the dash.
Scanned it, no fault codes. Checked under the bonnet and the rubber fuel line had completely perished.
The other 3 lines coming off the fuel filter are hard plastic.
Put a new length of pipe on, changed the fuel filter and the fucker wont prime up.
Any ideas? I've summised it must be an air leak somewhere, but can I hell find it!!

All suggestions welcome, apart from a milk bottle full of unleaded, a rag and a match

Thats next on the agenda tomorrow evening I think. All the pipes are air tight, but squeezing the primer bulb is doing bugger all.
Fecking thing wants scrapping. In the past 12 months its had 2 new calipers, rear bearings/discs, 3 window regs various other electrical bits.
Why people buy these cars is beyond me!

Easy start into the inlet system, bit at a time see if it will drag the fuel through that way???
ECUs tend to suffer from water damage on anything Renault

Would be my first port of call.
They can be such hateful things those scenics, remember my mate had the 19 dci on an 02 plate, regularly got the call to come and rescue him as it had failed to start AGAIN.
Hot/cold you name it,never found the cause and sent it out to pasture.
