Lancia Delta Intergrale 16v
Anyone got any info on the Lancia Delta Intergrale 16v?
ive been offered one in exchange for my Ka and i know they are sought after 4WD Rally cars, 2.0 turbo's i believe and around 200bhp. But what are they like to drive? any extra info would be great.

They are one of the most awesome driving experiences you will ever have (if you dont mind the LHD).
If you are going to extract much power from them (easily done) then you need to weld a lot of strengthening plates into them as otherwise they have a habbit of flexing too much and pulling themselves apart.
Awesome motors though overall, and proper heritage as well.
Fundamentally pretty reliable too, but they are seriously bad for rusting.

If its an early one then it wont be as wide track as the later EVO models, so less issues with it pulling apart.
There are some good forums for them, thats a great place to start looking for info.
Email:
trevor@nyssa.ltd.uk
And ask him for advice on what forums to use and tell him that chip gave you his address, he's a mate of mine and is a complete lancia nut.
He even has intergrale 4wd engine and running gear in his lancia Y10!

The only thing that put me off, everyone I have spoken to all say that they are very prone to rot... not just rust but rot
