Default Heli Coil HELP!!!

I have stripped a thread in a (M10) captive thread , i have a helicoil kit but the thread is not blind, is there any way of stopping the helicoil just winding out the other end? i have looked at Timeserts but the kit is £60 which is a bit much for repairing one thread!! i cant get to the other side without cutting my shell about,

Anyone got any ideas or help?

Cheers

The Helicoil will only wind out the other end if you wind it out the other end.

As dinga has said weld a nut to a piece of steel then cut out chassis to accept steel plate then weld in.
Or cut floor in a u shape above arb mount send lift floor up giving you access to the nut.
Then weld floor back down
Shouldn't take much longer then an hour for both repairs

Smash the nut off or drill it out to about 11 mm, then drop a long bolt through the hole from the adjacent hole in the side of the box section. Put it back together, along with a nut onto the protruding bolt. Put two more nuts onto the bolt and lock these together. Now, holding these nuts with a spanner, tighten the first nut up against the roll bar bracket. Remove the two nuts you used to lock the bolt still and job done. Should take about 10 minutes and no welding required. Done it myself a few times.
