Out of that lot I'd have the Mondy I reckon. Or if you can stretch to a BMW E90 325d I'd have one of those. Golf I think suffers from injector problems and clutch although iirc there was a recall for the injectors or something to do with them so maybe someone else will verify that.
Don't know anything about Vectras apart from a friend had a 1.9 CDTi, was OK for what it was big comfy barge but over a Mondeo Titanium I would have the Mondeo all day long. Older 330d's are very good cars too though so for me BMW or Mondeo.

got a 02 plate golf gt tdi 150, chipped to 180. does 500 miles to a tank Ł70 and even when thrashing 425-450 miles
done 22,000 in last 11 months since I bought it, has 182,000 on the clock now, done 3 ring trips in it, 27 laps, two of those 5 up,lol, just sailed through MOT, only spend so far, replace exhaust centre section and tyres. Enjoy it so much I've decided to break my 300bhp RS1600i

Drove up to Lancaster today, to take the daughter so she could have a look around the University of Cumbria.
The car I own is a 55 plate Mondeo tdci ghia 155. What can I say about it, not one problem has been had over the 3 years I've owned it.
We left Droitwich around 10-15am and arrived at 12-30pm, all I can say is the Mondeo loves the Motorway.

Having just got rid of my 54 plate Mondeo 2.2 tdci, thought I'd give my view. I had it 4yrs, done just over 50k, and apart from tyres and servicing, the only problems I had were the waterpump giving up, and a boost hose split. I only got rid as we needed something bigger, and was starting to have concerns over clutch and dmf (car had done 149k).
And one last problem, each window had started to make a nice creaking sound when opening and closing, didn't think much of it until the drivers window opened and wouldn't close. I ended up stripping the door down, cables on the regulator had frayed and were f*cked, bitch of a job to get at, fair bit of hassle to sort.
