plenty of choice of cat 1 alarms out there.
if you want simple and effective buy toad.
if you want toys, buy clifford. But ONLY if you know a trusted fitter who can fit it properly. A poorly fitted clifford will give you no end of trouble. A properly fitted one will be perfectly reliable.
consider a tracker as well.

That will be the Clifford (I personally don't know of any others that do it, no doubt there is) I have had toad and Clifford before and warrens words are so true I have had problems with both, both due to installation. Stay away from gap security if they are still about as the customer service was terrible when mine started playing up and I took it elsewhere.

as above I have a cat 1 cobra system and it has been no trouble at all, keyfob cases are also very cheap on ebay when the wear out. Mine was fitted to my daily at time of import and sva so presume they new what they where doing.

He cracked my dashboard, only put half the screws back in!
A few months after fitting I dropped a friend back home went to start the car and had nothing. Turns out it was the immobiliser to the fuel relay. He had used incorrect wiring that had melted and looking at the surrounding area at one point I had a small fire under the dash! Absolutely shocking! Had to get someone to look over the whole alarm and they needed to replace several wires that were just taped together.
