forged pistons, zetec engine
Does anybody know if I can buy a set of standard bore size forged pistons to fit focus rs/2.0 zetec block?
The block will be brand new so I'd rather just fit a set rather then mess about with re bore etc.
Cheers

just contact ian howell mate iam sure he can get everything you want , yes they might be more expensive but they are his custom spec and like everything you get from ian you get 12 months warranty and a bottom end thats good for 500bhp
are you still having trouble with the engine etc as i know you was asking about oil pumps , i would buy billet oil pump gears at least if it was me , they do break but not as easy as standard oil pump gears
cheers paul

I have a set of JE pistons on Carrillo rods, The pistons were made to the spec I asked! I got this done in about 2005 after one if my injectors got partially blocked so it ran lean in number 3 and burnt a hole through the original piston! lots of swearing later a big time engine rebuild happened! - they have some good vids to watch on u tube too!

Yeah still having trouble lol I've spoke to Ian and he told me to buy a brand new 2.0 zetec short motor off ebay, and fit my pistons and rods. Which are currently his spec. I was just thinking it would work out easier to not have to get the brand new engine stripped and re bored hence asking about standard size pistons.

just get the block bored out by a good engine builder, i have had absolutely no issues with mine, they gap set the rings and all that jazz for cheap, i think it was Ł160 for boring the block, fitting rods and pistons and recording the stretch etc.
well worth finding somewhere good.
ian will see you right though.

he is a friend of my aunts so was handy to drop stuff round at his house.
however i used a place in darwen called nuttalls, long established and thorough, they measured the stretch on the rod bolts and the ARP main stud kit too, all written down for next use to measure the difference as stated on arp paperwork.
bannister are very good at what they do none the less.

Bear in mind he does what he does outside of his regular job, which is why it can sometimes take a bit of time to get a reply, but i've found he always get's back to you
