Default Can some one explain amal valves to me ?

as the title, thought i knew what they were about but wondered if i'm missing something ?

So its basically something that regulates the boost supplied then? Do Cossie's have them as standard then Gareth?

Next question then, if you fit an under bonnet bleed valve does this bypass the Amal valve!? lol

mine seems to have been disconnected on one side (air pipe) & the pipe sleeved down to leave a smaller hole & the other pipe is completely gone, i'm fairly sure that when i had it on the rollers at power engineering the guy said they were crap & did something with it then but i may be mistaken, so basically its now only got the electrical connection to it ??????

it depends how you connect it up.
1 Pipe from turbo to actuator with bleed valve on pipe=no amal valve.
2 As normal with amal valve connected with all 3 pipes but the pipe to the turbo cut and a blled valve fitted to this pipe

Personally i would just adjust the actuator and leave it
