What a shitty attitude.. So mr newbie comes along, pays his 20 quid and everyone should listen to him, because he is a fully paid up memeber but me and others that have been signed up since pretty much day 1.. dont have a say

sorry but tbh passionford is turning into a winge about everything now, theres starting this devide about gold members and non gold members bollox too

think everyone is missing the point and hiding behind the " why is this a gold members room only" thing

ffs the best way of voting on a site ya dont have control over IS to walk, its not nice but its the only thing ya can do as at the end of the day this is a website

ok the dummy room is for gold members and traders, thats who poay for the site aswell, think alot of people aint payed this year as they dont agree with the desisions with the site ect

think people should be held accountable for there actions, just like ya boss can call ya a cunt and you cant call him as hes the boss

just either learn to agree ya not always gonna be happy or walk

now as for the mods, thats a very very very good point !!!!, that point i do agree with, as a mod ya gotta be totaly un biased tbh, now as much as its funny it does only make fuel for another fire as its another way to have a dig at people

also when a mod has a argument it brings the whole tone down and the other side may not always get the correct caining as its a jumo on the band wagon, just like when i had a dig at a member who was liked more than me, loads of people took sides who never knew the trust YET people who new the member well pmed me as they never wanted to get involved

think its time to bring pasionfrd back out the shit sandwich thats going on

seems like your chilled

i do disagree though, a mod is to moderate the forum that means if ya do move things ect as its too far then dont be posting up the same things ya self unless thats treated the same

its about the 1 rule for 1 and all that

at times it can feel like there parents and they can do what they like otherwise ya grounded ( by the way none of this is from my experience, just what ive seen )

Lee... its not about the 20 quid.. well, for me its not anyway

Even If I was a gold member, my opinion would still stand that certain rooms should not be for Gold Members only.. you are restricting certain people from certain things, which isnt good

Im sure this site must bring ALOT more profit for certain members of this board, mainly including MAIN figures amongst us and certain traders.. How many paid up members are there

surely all rooms should be accessable to all people... Yeah??

Westy, they were my issues. I wanted all rooms to be open like it was on the RSOC....NON RSOC members had access to all rooms, and i thought it should have been same here. But, it went to the vote and was decided that certain rooms were gold status only. I was stubborn on my opinions for a while, but then thought id pay. Cant argue with a majority vote, so i joined them.....

Stu - is it a topic even worth keep debating..

ie, does the decision stay that certain rooms are for those are are prepared to pay the 20 quid OR Can certain things be changed

In the past stu has kept is eye on these debates then put it to the vote! Changes get made in favour of the vote! Cant say no fairer! Gold members only vote tho

Most things are worth debating Pal

I asked the mods opinion on it, as well as the traders on the site and the ones who commented agree with the idea so it was done. Sadly Guzzler didnt play a part in it as all those who commented will confirm...

Ive given my reasons for making the decision i have, so if we are debating it i guess you have to give me reasons to counter my points...

Im not that bothered enough to give my reasons why it should be open to all

but as you can see from this post its plain to see that alot of people do seem to agree... The fact that more and more rooms are only available to those willing to cough up the 20 quid, is (IMO) probably drawing people away

I appreciate that the funds sent by those that have contributed are for the bandwidth or whatever it is, and fully grateful for that.. but, it was never like that when first started, and for a long while afterwards.. All areas to all members.. is how it was I agree with those that dont pay, cant advertise.. thats cool.

also Stu - a poll done by you for those that are GOLDMEMBERS (assume all Mods are paid up people) only is going to recieve a totally bias opinion FACT!!

You do a poll, for EVERYON, as we all contribute to posts ect, then I can assure you, results will be different.

Ok if it's a debate and I'm not gonna get shot down - personally I think it should be open to all..

For example there's an argument that was moved in there the other day which was basically an argument between, a gold member and a non gold member - so obviously once it was moved to the "dummy room" the non gold member couldn't see it or reply to it, hence end of argument, and the post being totally pointless in that room.

My point - if the aim of the "dummy romm" is to stop atmosphere elsewhere on the site, then surley it should be open to all, as it isn't only gold members that get into arguments/debates....just my opinion

No ya saying it would be biased if only gold members voted. I.E we would vote to keep u tight gits out of all rooms that u r out of now....but i wouldnt, id vote for non goldies to have access to all rooms except being able to sell!

Westy,
The fact that more and more rooms are only available to those willing to cough up the 20 quid, is (IMO) probably drawing people away
More and more?
This is one more in the last year or so.. hardly a recouring theme.

Westy,
appreciate that the funds sent by those that have contributed are for the bandwidth or whatever it is, and fully grateful for that.. but, it was never like that when first started, and for a long while afterwards.. All areas to all members.. is how it was I agree with those that dont pay, cant advertise.. thats cool.
It was all areas to all members when we had 50 online and a tiny 1million hits per month, like many other sites, it was managable.
Now we have 500+ and 42 million+ we need to finance it. But without reward people will not pay, its human nature pal and im sure your not nieve enough to think otherwise. people will not pay for what they can get free. We have a great many people on here who will pay just to keep it going and because they reckon the 5.4p a day is well worth it, but those select few unfortunately will not pay for the hosting and the man hours to maintain it at the level that we do.

Westy,
a poll done by you for those that are GOLDMEMBERS only is going to recieve a totally bias opinion FACT!!
Why?
I know what your thinking, but didnt you just say yourself that even if you were a gold member you would want it open to all? Are you saying teh other gold members are not able to think for themselves as well as you do?

"IMO" The gold members only vote has two levels of use:

1) Its rewarding those that allow PF to exist with their financial contributions.
2) Im asking folks opinions who have no axe to grind..

To elaborate on point 2:
If i ask 1000 people would you like access to a room you currently cant see without paying for. What idiots going to say "No Way"

As always, i have to think far further out of teh box than most of you, as im looking at the mjority and not the minority, as well as looking at the legal aspects as well as the future growth of PF.

b19bal is right. If you don't like how a forum is run then don't use it.

I think the whole forum should be Gold Members only. If the forum you can't get onto means so much to you Westy then find £20, it's not a lot of cash really.

when I mean more and more rooms becoming unavailable.. I mean in the context that, when we all first joined etc, I coul access all areas now, I click on certain things and cant

Its just my opinion.. dont count tho, cos I havent paid

seriously, just a thought. What difference will it make, if we can all access all areas (except being able to advertise) ?

Agreed, people should be rewarded.. send'em a passionford sticker or something

Just my 2 p's worth thats all.. can understand if things dont change. In all honesty, I very rarely do go into any other areas as alot of info is vailable in the room anyway

lso, ALOT of tiome is taken up of yours and others on this site, which is of course totally appreciated

Can imgine it has also help many traders businesses and yours too, which cant be a bad thing

Quick Reply: misplaced your dummy?
