Don't see anything wrong with it really, bikes do it!

I would if it was sumert recognised as a classics ford, xr3/2's, capri's, all rs's bla bla but wouldn't just for any ford, like a transit lol

I used to do it to other ST drivers, little wave and the mrs ripped the piss out of me. Gave a lad at work a lift in mine and he was doing it to all the volvo's that went passes. I soon stopped doing it.

Used to do it to other cossie owners when I was in mine and always got a flash of the lights or a wave or a blip of the throttle in return

Bit pointless doing it to every ford though, but on the buses we used to tweet the panic alarm as we went past each other (until we were told to stop as it was disturbing the people living on the street )

Gay... Think how many fords there are on the road, you'd be forever driving one handed.

I had a guy in a blue ST200 give me "the nod" in traffic a few years ago, I just nodded back to be polite.

I think a nod of appreciation or maybe a thumbs up. Otherwise people are gonna think you've mistaken your car for a sunshine bus.

Should never ignore a flash or wave, here it means the cops are ahead and slow down

Or "slow down ye haleane ye!! Mad bastard in that yoke hai"

Wasn't it AA members that used to salute each other unless there was a policeman about?

Edit; yep

Subsequently the organisation developed a coded warning system, which was used until the 1960s, whereby a patrolman would always salute the driver of a passing car which showed a visible AA Badge unless there was a speed trap nearby, on the understanding that their officers could not be prosecuted for failing to salute. The AA Handbook included the following message many times "It cannot be too strongly emphasized that when a patrol fails to salute, the member should stop and ask the reason why, as it is certain that the patrol has something of importance to communicate

lol, strange thread, however, i have an r32 golf and have been waved at my fellow r32 drivers more than once, i just wave back and thought it was strange i don't know her, then saw her again few days later and she waved again, the only connection i can think of is she has an r32 aswell!

Had someone do it while i was in my range rover aswell few weeks ago, again i was like who the fuck are you.. Only connection must be another range rover!

Was out with a mate last week in his galaxy, he was flashing like mad at this guy comming towards him, i asked who was that, he replied "dunno but it's another galaxy same as mine so thought i'd flash" LOL!!!

I usually give a nod or small wave to other cossies if i see them, although i had a random flash and wave with a chick in a mk1 FRS on the m6 last weekend, and we were both going in opposite directions!
