I have replaced the half moon seals and fitted a new rocker gasket and had the rocker cover machined flat.

The Cam bearing and seals are new as well.

It is still leaking and it drips down to the distributor

Any ideas?

Where's it leaking from, the front near the half moons?
Did you use any sealant when you put the cam cover on near the half moons, you need to do this, and don't be shy with it either if you want to guarantee it not to leak.

What half moon seals did you use? Proper ford ones or copies.

The copies sometimes come up smaller and cause a leak. Had it on mine. You wouldnt be able to tell just by looking but put them up against a ford one and you will see.

Did you put a bit of sealant on the half moon where it meets the head?

I used sealant on both sides of the gasket and on the half moon seals where it meets the gasket.

I am pretty sure it is leaking from there as it cant be anywhere else? And also you can see it dripping down the head around the front.

I actually am guessing it is coming from the half moon seals as i cant see it from anywhere else

I used the ones from Matt Lewis. I have ordered some today from Ford at £15 each

I used a fair bit of sealant where the moons meets the head, but still leaking and it is very difficult to see where it is actually coming from......

Using sealant on the gasket is a bad idea, you should smear the gasket in LM grease and only use a small blob of sealant on the ends of the half moon seals.

Did you use a torque wrench when you tightened it down?

is there sealant under the 2 cam bearing caps? they need a smear of sealer before fitment! a dod of sealer in each corner of the cap before fitting gasket and a dod in each corner with gasket fitted and half moon seals pushed into the sealer, then cam cover placed on carefully.

Almost same as above, i do not use any sealant at all on the gasket, but basically all over the half moons and especially where it meets the gasket, they are cunts for leaking so you need to make sure you seal it right first time. If it is going to leak anywhere it's pretty much at the half moons.

Having said that I once filled up all my plug holes with oil once and the car ran like shit until i figured out why!

I usually use Stagg welseal which is really good stuff as I don't like using sealer but found a dodd of sealer in these parts is a good idea, aswell as some sump's where they meet the crankcase at either end of the block, basically any nooks and cranny's/corners.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will take it all off and start again.

Can I take off just the cam bearing caps at the front? and out some sealer on or does all the caps need to come off? Reason I ask is do they need to be tightened in a particular order etc

Well you shouldn't really just remove one cap as there is a potential for snapping the cam if the lobes on #1 are holding the valve open, if it was me i'd put #1 to TDC, inlet and exhaust valves closed and go for it but now that i've said i'd do it you'll probably break yours and i'll be a cunt so to do it properly you should losen all caps evenly and re-thighten evenly to avoid a snapped camshaft!

I definately wouldn't go doing it that way!
Just seal the half moons with lots of sealant and leave it to set for a good while, then it will be fine.

what bolts are on the cover, i had the same problem with aftermarket bolts and they were a fraction longer and decking out so not sealing.
