Default Evo 8

Who on here has one and what do you think of it ? im not worried about service costs etc and how much fuel it drinks as its just going to be a toy if i get one .its been on my mind for ages to maybe replace the 3 door as ive had it nearly 9 years and the evo is always buzzing around in my mind !!!! Thing im not sure about is once the 3 door has gone then il never own another .

So whats your thoughts ? 3 doors at the moment re 10-13k and you can get a cracking evo for 8-9k

My sister used to have a evo 8
my brother used to have a scooby sti with 305 prodrive upgrade

i was insured on both but used to use my brothers car all the time.

It was rare when I drove the evo, but in a nutshell the roads in which I drove the subaru I was pretty quick (by my standards) considering I was really used to the subaru, but when I drove the evo on those roads after about 15-half an hour of driving the evo I was a lot quicker than the scooby even though it was down on power by about 40brake. Basically it was a far superior car for me.

If you after a standard evo then evo 8 was a great car, only issue I found was that it seemed a but sufficated on the induction and exhaust side i.e. revs were a bit slow coming down.

If you were thinking of modding an evo I would of said the evo 6 would be a better starting point but that only my opinion.

Hope this makes sense and is of help to you

I had an fq330 with a remap at the same time as my 3dr. Put it this was I still have the 3dr lol

Although if it was to be one toy the Evo is a hard one to say no to!

You'll get plenty arguments on here from both side and the best was is to go and try one tbh.

Bang on the money there,

my brother put it,as everyday the scooby in on the drive its going down in value, every day the mk rs2000 is on the drive its going up hence the scooby is no more

There is no doubt that in standard form the 2 models ive mentioned are far superior than any std cossie, but you just dont get the character that you get with an old ford imo, fords even smell different. God I sound sad lol
