Default MK2 Seat LEon FR TDi - Any good?

Are they any good? my wife now has her heart set on one but Seat is certainly a brand ive never delt with. I know they look nice lowered with a set of 19" rims on so it would be east to get it looking how I wanted.
What should I look out for when buying?

cheers for any help.

As long as the pd diesel engine has had the correct oil and been serviced you are good to go, much better value than a vw for the cash

all vags suffer the dmf and clutch failure so check for that and any leaks, should really be bone dry to be fair

Check it has had the injectors replaced under the recall.

They dont suffer DMF or clutch failure, nor do the engines 'just give up', poor maintainance and lack or respect do cause premature failure.

Adam it's what Leah has, they seem good car's if serviced correctly - check the clutch and box - if it's chipped check whos etc

They had something weird with the tyres wearing funny - maybe something to follow up on as i kind of remember them saying the spoke to Seat and it's a problem with them or something

I borrowed it for a couple of days whilst mine was off the road and it didn't feel as torquey as my Golf but when the turbo came in it was more of a punch.

All in all nice car's and ideal for what you need

The geometry was set wrong at the factory iirc, a few were recalled to have it adjusted and in some cases had the tyres replaced under warranty.
