Shit it was quiet, never ever i have seen Quarry corner SO dead, weather was a complete joke too..

Some decent cars out on Track though, Luke had a few offs in the Trolley, thankfully one of them was into the field area and not the barrier, looked quick though what i saw of it.

Sketch and another Black Evo looked pretty quick too, apart from that not the best show BUT i'm sure if it would have been sunny then more would have attended i guess..

Real shame tbh, my favourite show of the year and not just because it's my local group that organises it....as said the weather makes a massive impact to attendance and trade sales etc as it's just not that pleasant to spend a long time out in the rain is it lol!
Can't do anything about the weather but such a pain for all the events being ruined by the weather this summer
Roll on coming back from shows sunburnt like we should be

Yep, it's lovely here in Liverpool too.

British summer is a joke...only for having a wedding to go to later I would have gone to Combe, first one I've missed in 7 years.

For the people who went and battled the weather, well done for supporting Combe

I went and was on the FastFord stand, was crappy weather but i had a maugh with some mates, and Dan, Jamie and the rest of the lads were making me laugh out loud despite the weather when i popped over to catch up. There were some lovely motors on show still, shame about the EsCoS! It looked nasty! Hope whoever was in it was ok! :-(

It was an L plate Mallard Escos with Reyland stickers up the side. Pretty sure it had a set of rondells on it. Looked very nasty, the ambulance nipped off from the scene pretty sharpish so I hope no one was seriously injured. Was a great day though despite the weather!

The car that crashed belongs to a guy called Mark, who was originally a customer of mine that became a friend. He's ok But he reckons the car is pretty bad

Was a good day despite the rain.
Like I said in the other thread though, slipped down a banking and spent the afternoon caked in mud. Was not happy

Very genuine nice, guy though, Had a decent chat with him.

he'll be along shortly to correct everyone about how he was actually "drifting" around a slower vehicle

sounds more fun in the wet, even though the escos owner may not think so

It was a Leon IIRC mate.

I overtook him going into quarry on the outlap, went into the bend at what felt to me like a very conservative pace for the corner compared to what I normally go into it in when its wet but the steering jumped away from me and I span out.

Luckily no harm done, and I can only apologise to the seat driver, I didnt expect that to happen at such low speeds.

I had a bigger scare at folly, it went massively sideways on me, will try and upload a bit of a video of it as porkie caught it on camera.

I have since found out why, I only did 2 sessions before deciding it just wasnt upto the job and was being too unpredictable but on the way home I managed to borrow a ramp and a mate of a mate who knows a lot more about clios than me and I can now see exactly why it happened, you'll see it too if you click for the video:

The steering rack mounting bushes are worn which means the whole rack can move, so as I went into the bend it steered itself as a result, which put it into a spin, I went to correct it and the initial correction just slid the rack back without any steering happening then it suddenly bit and went the other way around.
