Chip just watched your vid ,really shows the speed out of some of the bends ,we are not on a screamer ,we actually think we would have been quieter with out the muffler we had to fit for the noise test,we was hitting the rev cut at 8k in 4th just at the turn on the main straight in the area where the escos crashed

He was running a set of slicks on the front,
I see him queing up to get on track, I did have a joke with the driver about them being fitted and he laughed and told me it would be fine!

Pretty certain it was a mk6 also? Had 2 orange wheels at one point

Well he certainly got it right as he could pedal it well in the wet, he soon caught up with the white scooby then went past the next lap.. Just shows its not all about raw power

Did notice after dinner a few people got caught up in the moment of the MK2 drifting but came up well short when they tried.

Noticed a lad in what looked like a base model Fiesta plod round all day at his own pace, stayed out of everyone's way and still had as much fun proper track etiquette.

here is the MX5 caught in the action

Nice meeting you too mate, cant wait to see it used in anger, its not me it needs behind the wheel though its someone like andy gallacher, lol

I just think it was great that despite the lack of grip you still got out there and used it, a lot of people would have just bottled it totally given the amount of time and effort and money it must owe you.

You on track with it at ford fair?

It sure does mate, especially considering my car isnt exactly slow out to the bends with 260bhp in a clio to begin with, and yet it literally left me standing!

Thats really weird, I would have put money on that being a screamer, sounded just like one.
Blatantly going to need an extra box or two in the exhaust then.

Yeah, what I mean is that it will need an extra box or two so it passes noisetest without needing the bung that is causing the issues when flat out.

hi mate. it peaks about 32ish and holds 28-30 psi. not been on the rollers but armed who mapped it said its 440-450 because the injectors are flat out. only problem i have got is after only 4-5 laps the top end sounds awful. think its just lifter noise.

Thanks for that mate

I was using DUNLOP SP Wets, great tyre for those conditions

I was using an incar camera , but unbelievabley the memory card has failed, so cant show how well the car was going in the morning in the very wet conditions

As Sinbad has said, I also won a couple of trophies, so thanks to RS Combe organisers for that

Luke my first time at Combe, very very quick track

I was on the limiter in 5th going up the long straight towards Quarry , so maybe have struggled for gearing in the dry, so maybe suited me better being a bit wet

First time Ive used the wets too, unbelievable the grip they give you, but easy to get overconfident, I was sideways into Folly a couple of times in 4th gear

Enjoyed my day despite having an issue with the car in the afternoon which meant my day was finished early, but still enjoyed the experience of a new track

Roll on Ford Fair

I enjoyed watching you and your boys. I was impressed with the speed you and Spiky also were running at when the track was wet. Set of those tyres are a must, I was shocked at how soft they were when you pulled in. :respect:

What happened to yours, I saw you pull in the infield along the straight?

Yes Ford Fair will be a good day i'm looking forward to it.
It will no doubt be wet so I best get some Dunlops

I had a bit of an issue with the quaife gearbox, I was chasing the red EVO 8 down towards Folly and when I went for 5th it wasnt there, then wouldnt find nuetral, think its an issue with the internal linkage of the box, as there was no signs of a problem before it failed

Got to get a set of wets Luke, I was doing a rain dance everytime i went out, Ive been using Dunlop SP slicks as well, and theyre very good too, although needs a lap or two to get some heat in them
