what am i looking for on the chain? iv noticed lately as i have just serviced to car its a bit noisey kinda reminds me of chain slap on a bike! as tapets and all are fine.
hes starting to just check the whole fleet out now so hopefully no more fail and need valves etc.
My dads done the same, It sounded like it was hitting the cam cover,
The top chain guide was broken,
Also there is a screw in the top of the oil pump that comes loose which causes low oil pressure and can make the engine sound tappy,
Are you sure its the chain making a noise and not the tappets?
Worth checking the screw in the oil pump,
