They dont perish like rubber bushes, They also stiffen up the car which improves handling,
However some Polybushes are to 'firm' for road use and will vibrate through the car.

As above really. They can totally transform a cars handling, or ruin it for road use. You can get ones that have a similar flex to rubber, but with the benifits of MUCH longer lasting.

pretty much what they said above

fully polybushed my car, and the difference is quite noticeable. not harsh on bumps, no extra noises or vibrations (maybe a tad more diff whine now ), annd stiffened the ride up quite nicely too

As above tbh,
I have done this on my focus mk1 and was better than when it first got it.
but remeber to take into consider the cost of having the geometry setup again, will be more expensive depending on suspension adjustability
id recommend it anyday if you have the money

Have you replaced the rear bushes in the back arms.

You get a much improved positive feel through the car as the suspension mountings dont move around with hard braking / acceleration
One step down from rose joints but a big improvement over rubber bushes
great for fast road

Were the old bushes a nightmare to get out.

Does you car handle ok with the bushes fitted to the rear arms.
Ive heard some people say there ok with the poly bushes and they couldnt tell the difference between polys and standard.

Then some people say fit the standard bushes.

no problem with mine at all, but then the mk2 granada only had rubber bushes as standard anyway. the mk3 cosworth and the xr/rs sierras had a type of spherical bearing bush i think
