Im making the assumpion that if you are going drag raing you wil have a nitrous kit, cause going drag racing without one is kind of like turning up to play football without any boots.

Porkie, if you want to compete in the quarter and top speed then you should run gas, if you want to just focus on the handling circuit then gas wont be of any value to you really.

Up to you mate, im sure you will do the cossie boys proud either way, but obviously you arent going to be competitive if the people you are racing have bottled throttle and you dont.

Chip, the car just doesn't have a good enough gearbox to be REALLY competitive over the 1/4 or enough power to do really well at the Topspeed. I am only going to try to beat a few of the lower spec scoobs and Evos and show that hopefully there is life in the old cossies yet and more importantly have some FUN

I have just commited to spend another 2k on uprating the tranmission futher so hopefully it will be strong enough now!

I'm just not a fan of NOS, I don't think its cheating and I know how good it is BUT if I wanna play football in bare feet then I will

Hopefully Rod will come and have a go as well.... I would LOVE to see him do 200mph and give some Cossie owners something to smile about

i think the rs scene has the same problem in a lot of areas,its the same with the concourse, people dont bother entering even though they have stunning cars just because they know they cant win as there are unbeatable cars showing thats had truckloads spent on em, i think its gonna be the death of the concours scene tbh ,and i think the same principal applies here tbh, i know that the japs are becoming unbeatable in their skylines etc but people shouldnt not compete just because they cant win, its all about enjoying yourself and taking part after all , something that has been forgotton about when it comes to things like this imo, i would much rather watch 10 cozzies not beat the skylines but still show thier stuff than watch zero cozzies just because they cant do a 10 sec 1/4, i mean its all gone so fuckin serious, ffs its not like you even win anything , no money or nowt, this type of event should be for the people into fast cars regardless of wether they can win or not, i think the term applicable is ELITEIST!

i booked mine early last year ,after all the talk of the cossie team,as thats what i wanted to see. Cossies caning the scoobs ect still enjoyed the day out and watching the cossies giving it there all

Cos hes 3mph Faster than me mate plain & simple.
At a recent Topspeed run Mark was also 3mph faster than MADAde.
Mark can, Most cant. Its Hairy stopping from 198.5mph , lose it & you are through the end at these speeds you are doing 100metres a sec. Didnt stop shaking for some time .
The next time you get up to 198.5mph , Think about having to stop in 300metres.

This just another example of why I have no desire to represent you guys at an event like TOTB. Im 60 years of age , I cant drive as I could 25 years ago, how fast is your dad mate.
I will achieve 200mph later this year im sure , but will always be slower than Mark, Was on medication on the 198 run & if my Doctor had Known I would have been in real trouble. Have had major surgury mate , lucky to be here so find out the facts before you judge me.

Fucking totb is a top day out even if the skylines do seem to win all the time, but like has been previosly mentioned the evos dont do bad as a team because they hammer the handling circuit and i bet most the evos that do well on handling dont have more than 400brake so it shouldnt be about all out power because i think ford will struggle to get an individual winner but could still do really well as a team and hopefully have a laff doing it
