I have a plate which I bought years back and has never been on any vehicle, just sitting on retention. I want to put this on my bike, but I seem to recall there are peoblems moving plates between cars and bikes ? I don't see why it's an issue if I did, surely I can just put it back on retention and then move onto a car at a later stage should I want to ? If there are problems, what are they ?

Does anyone actually know the rules as opposed to just guessing ?

I was recently in dvla borehamwood and was reading the rule on this , if I recal bike plates can be put on bikes and cars no problem, but car plates can be put on 500cc bikes or above
