to be quite honest no matter what you thought its black and white you were driving a illegal car on the road, should have been trailored or on trade plates, you have no defence at all and unless your poilcy is any car or named on a certificate expect trouble from that too

did they actually stop you? as i would have thought this would have involved the said car being impounded, if not and it was booked in for mot and you were driving it to the garage you should be fine as they have no proof as to who was driving the car, just get a mate to say they were driving it on their insurance as a third party and DELETE THIS THREAD IMMEDIATLY

I think you'll just get a letter saying your car was spotted on the road with no tax and they'll ask you to tax it and pay a fine.

When it's back from the MOT, get it insured then tax it. Should be fine IMO.

If you'd been stopped by traffic cops then I'd say it would be a different story.

If I were you, I would delete this thread straight away its as it an admission of guilt, and I would find someone who has a trade policy to correct you and point out you have remembered wrongly and that they were driving it for you in fact
