Default Had a little go at porting (heads back)

For our 2 seater mk indy car, im building a nice pinto lump for it so thought id have a go at porting the head myself, its the first one ive done so be kind lol,











think i got a little excited on the inlets so their probably a tad to big but for our build im sure they'll be fine.

A blind fold lol

No i used a bosch grinder, with some carbide tips and grind stones.

bit of an update for anyone who's interested, got the head back from the machine shop who blasted it, fitted the over size valves etc

it may have paid you to have it flow tested, then if there was a mismatch on any of the ports you could have equalised them a little more.

Looks good though

id like to know what sort of power this makes, and spec . dont see much pinto tuning

For what im using it in i dont think it needs to be that perfect, but yes if it was a full blown competition engine i would agree.

Im going to have the engine set up with a guy who's good with carbs, then i may put it on the dyno, i would expect to see 150+ hopefully,

spec is

wiseco 92mm pistons
cossie rods
reground crank
lightend flywheel
whole bottom end balanced
h/p pump
new shells etc
head is ported
large single piece valves
stronger valve springs
kent cam
vernier pulley
fireblade carbs (40mm i think)
