Hi hot an old vinyl cutter and a bit of old vinyl left and fancied doing some ford motorsport tiger stripes. Trying to get hold of the eps vector image for the stripes but not having a lot of luck. Prepared to pay a few quid for it if anyone can help it is only for personal use cheers in advance

 

I reckon a lot of them were done by eye! Doubt there'd be a vector graphic available.

 

i know its not exactly what your after, but ive got a tiger striped saph if that can be any help?

As far as I know there is no 'set' tiger striped set. All of the cars i've tiger striped have been by eye.

 

I know thats where im struggling to get the shapes right. Cant seem to get it too look right. I could pay for a set but would like to do it myself and perhaps get the satisfaction out of knowing that I did that

 

why cant you import a car from impact vehicle outline disk,

That way they will be to size aswe, llthen just draw them in your sign software against the outline.

Just want to be a little different and possibly try an old style on a newer car. What was the Hexagan design that was out just after the tiger stripes anyone with any pictures ???

I cut out by hand the tiger stripes on my mates 3 door.

Works better that way as every car requires a different pattern.

Just choose your colours then cut away

 

Well vinyl is coming tomorrow so suppose ill have to just give it ago. In the past i have done van and shop signs this i am really finding a challenge to get to look right

do you need an ai file for a 3 door cosworth to work from,

i have vector files, for a 3 dr, escort and focus rs

 

Just do it by hand on the computer, that's how I do my tiger stripes when I get asked.

Yes that would be superb as im pulling my hair out here. I have attached a picture im going for bright orange and white just to be different. This is how its going so far sorry about the image not the best :-(

only did a few vans and shops going back a bit thats why I thought id dust the cutter offer and try this. Never done anything like this before only lettering then it was only for friends and family So not really done that much and yes im s h i t lol
