Default Escos WRC suspension?

Am woundering/hoping someone could explain to me what ford motorsport changed to get the escort cosworth WRC, have an escos and am thinking of going down this path, if I could also get an explanation as to what I would need to do this, I can hopefully get the rear cradle off of mk motorsport, and what type of work would be needed to the rear suspension points??

Thanks Hadyn

I had a proper works grp a car to start with and have gone down the same route..
Mk motorsport has ended up doing the whole conversion for me and tbh its so much work to the shell that your better of buying a wrc shell or something already converted to take all the wrc gear..

or talk to mk and see what sort of deal you can get?theres agmotorsport too or any good fabricator but like iv said if you already have a good road going car or similar sell that on and start again..hth

Im sure ford ran different mountings
but Mk Motorsport do the converted cradles so you just bolt it to your front mounts but will need to make and fit the middle/rear mountings and fit the rear turrets. Then you'd need a wrc rear bladed anti roll bar.
Take a look at doberman1234's thread in the resto area we have fitted all the Wrc rear end to a mk3 escort with a sierra floor pan

The front end is the easy part tbh,its the rear that needs alot of fab..

For example my rear end had to have the turrets re done the chassis legs inside the rear arches done and then the xmember under neath moded to except the mk rear cradle with 9 inch diff not to metion all my rear roll cage points..

Its all done now so no worries but if id known all this in the begining id iv got a wrc shell or like i said one that was already done..

I see mt motorsport have done a few good wrc shells at a very good price lately..saves you a fortunate

Does anyone know how much the WRC front hubs and TCA's etc widens the front track on an escos, if at all?

thanks for the info so far guys, was expecting a high price but this maybe to much, what way could i go if i kept the rear subframe setup as is, but want a more stable/reliable car setup that could handle track work??

A nice grp a rear end with mag arms is a nice set up that fits the chassis nice,i used this before my change..

Or just a nice 6 degree rear beam and supra diff conversion is a strong cheaper route..
