Great replies here just one thing though tony, I notice your giving out a lot of free advice lol is that because Steve is on his way home and has given you another large wedge of cash
steves bill was small
his turbo upgrade/ check over was free by turbo technics proper service that
new anti surge comp housing modified wastegate arm and new spec billet compressor wheel
even Steve didn't moan at that lol
for a lively very torquey road engine all you need (on top of a good engine)is a well mapped gt3071.82 with a good inlet cam etc and it will piss over all the other turbos mentioned for spool and out right power
No idea who glockenspiel lover is but i have to agree seeing as thats the exact spec i had
if it looks like Danny, smells like Danny, taste like Danny it must be Danny roflol
Rich were your power figures done on an approved PF DD rolling road if not they are bolloxs roflol
Yes we ran 2.9 bar peak on mapping but not on the rollers. Not sure what your constant jibes about boost are about, but dont be scared mate. Turn the wick up a bit. That's what the turbo is there for after all.
LOL Rich
2.9 bar is quite a bit of boost for a production off the shelf 2 bar max turbo with a cast comp wheel
boost levels that high can be counter productive
I bet the turbo doth protest some what
Nope it didnt protest at all. And no damage or play in the shaft () when i took it off and sold it to Beefy. It was only for a couple of runs anyway.
Im sure the turbo is capable of running 2 bar+ without a worry as it has done for a few k miles with no bother. not saying 2.9 bar is correct of course but mighty fast
