Default any ideas on what to use for this fuel pipe (fixed)

On my escos, the original plastic fuel pipe that goes from the metal fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail was removed at some point and its been replaced with some rubber fuel hose and some jubilee clips which is now weaping, whats the best way round it,

Yeah I can get the union welded on the rail it's just a mission pulling the full metal fuel pipe off the car with all the underside plastic clips etc, isn't there any other way, someone mentioned some type of compression fittings ?

Yeah I'm sure you can get a compression fitting that will go onto the pipe then with a dash 6 boss on the other end ring torques and ask them

Firstly hit whoever used those clips a good slap. They should never be used on small hose, especially fuel hose. It's a miracle they ever sealed.

These are the correct type

As long as both solid pipes have a bead or barb, and decent quality hose and clips are used you would be ok.

Yeah both have the barb/ridge type ends, so using some good 8mm id fuel hose with those clips above would seal ok and wont blow off under the pressure ?

If you're clamping them onto a solid metal pipe with some form of barb/bead on the end, then they will be 100% fine in conjunction with hose suitable for efi pressures.

If clamping onto a metal pipe with no barb/bead...I would still say it will be fine, but might do no harm to double clip.

I would not clamp those onto a plastic pipe.

I would not clamp onto the plastic pipe unless there is some sort of metal structure inside it to support it.

This isnt air or water you're messing about with. It's a flammable liquid going into a very hot environment at high pressure.

Yeah i understand that, it was done this way previously by scs i think going by the paper work as they replaced the fuel rail. I think ill just connect it back up this way to get the car back over to me and then have a union welded on the rail, then use the compression to an6 fitting on the hardline and then connect them together with the braided fuel hose.

Also I would use some double ear clips but you would need the proper pliers to clamp them with

here som on eBay "hope the link works"

I would never use those. You simply cannot feel how much tension they have applied, plus you need to cut them off to remove.

Well i took your advice and ditched the rubber hose and clips on the plastic union for some aeroquip, had a steel an6 union welded to my rail and then bought some fittings and braided hose, at least i know its not gonna pop off etc, plus those compression fittings work a treat,
