Default Help finding some 315mm x 28mm Dics

Hello,

I'm planing to upgrade the brakes on my escort and need to find a 315mm x 28mm disc. The plan is to run a Brembo Fiat/406/Focus RS four pot calipers. I want to keep my 16" wheels so cant run the focus rs discs as they are 325MM.

I remember other people running this caliper and a 315mm disc in the past. Anyone remember where to get the discs?

Ginge had this setup made for him by zoo motorsport but brom is not about any more.

Thanks

Ollie

nowt wrong with frs brembo callipers and disks under 16's:

i'd firstly measure the diameter inside your wheels and check it's possible, if you like i will measure the same on my rotas and then you'll know for sure if you can fit them at all.
i did make my own brackets and also had to trim the callipers a fair bit.
alternatively i believe 406 discs can be used, but they are only 305mm and have to work with the offset.

Hi Xr2wishy,

I did see you post about fitting the 325mm focus rs discs inside 16" wheels. Loving the big brakes on your car. I have the mondeo escort/cosworth style wheel fitted and its a bad shape for big brakes. As lots of the escort cosworth people know.

This is my current setup, Escort cosworth callipers and discs.

As you can see i don't much room left I will go a measure tomorrow.

i see your point, i only have this pic of my former 4wd cosworth brakes on the same wheels:

i think you've hit the nail on the head sadly, could you not just get a little lathed off the frs discs?
the problem is size wise 406 discs are spot on, but the offset isn't.

Ok I thought just because a 16 "rim on the Focus RS MK1 brake it fits since has 324x28mm. Then I thought of 1mm does not matter. But the 300mm HI Spec fits?

My discs where from rally design with custom bells,,, though I only owned the fir a hour as Brom took over a year to make them as I made the mistake paying up front,,,,,,, never again

I sold them before I even used them but I heard he had problems with balance vibration on his RS but they did go under Mondeo 16 Ins wheels,,,,,, well they was supposed to lol
