Our best run was 11.4@138mph. Circuit race suspension and circuit tyres prevent it doing better times.

Thanks 12.8 @116mph in the old Onion but imo it could have done better, my clutch cable snapped and by the time it was fixed i only got to do one more run because of the bloody jet car and other breakdowns on track then they closed for the rain . We will hopefully be back at classic ford with a few changes and see if we can achive the low 12's

My mate got a 13.7 in his standard looking but 500hp scs rs500 engine 4x4 saff. It wouldn't go into fourth so he coasted across the line then it started raining so couldn't improve the time.

10.9 @128 that civic was doing on full slicks so shows us ford lads have low 11's in some of these zetec turbo's as luke's pulled 134 so with some more grip he should be at those times but for some reason we stick to r888'e etc instead of turning up to drag strip with drag tyres

i think the lack of strong boxes and shafts puts people off slicks lol

Agreed!.. next time I take it to pod it will be travelling with the slicks fitted.
GRIP GRIP GRIP is what its all about.

I was just as gutted the other boys couldn't run to there full potential.
Would have been great to see them beat there best times.

you will probably break less with the slicks as you dont get the wheel hop or judder, the civic belongs to a mate of mine 1600cc and his daily 480hp, but the honda chassis does cope better off the line than the fords
