Default DSA / provisional license advice

Basically I have my test on wednesday and the latest I can cancel is friday.

On my provisional, it only has my old address on it not my new one. I booked it with my new address as it was the address on my card (I changed it the day before we moved in) and it didn't ask for my provisional license address. I booked the test the day after I moved, but haven't got time to send my license back.

My question is, does it matter that it's my old address? I tried ringing the louth test centre and it just rang out, whereas if I call the DSA I couldn't get hold of a person, just a computer telling me what to bring.

Thanks

I'd phone up, wait for the automated service to ask you to select an option BUT not press anything... these things usually assume you don't have a touch tone phone and will connect you to a human being.

Cheers,
Grant

Suppose i'll have to keep trying then. Still can't get through on the louth number so it might be their old one.

im a driving instructor
what i do is let the examinor know in advance
tell them you have just move ???? days ago and dval said you would not have had you licence back in time for your test as it can take 7 - 10 days to get a licence back
as long as you have filled the back in and you explain to the examiner they are usally fine also ask your instructor to explain as well
examiners love it when the know in advance

good luck

As above I've just done my DAS bike test and on completion (passed) you can fill the form in for a change of address before the examiner sends it and your provisional away for you to receive your full licence.

So in short, your fine, good luck buddy

Cheers for the replies and the well-wishes, fingers crossed eh?

Good to hear that I should be fine, but I'll get in touch with the examiner and let them know
