Excellent service from R&B Motorsport.(Mike Rainbird) UPDATE turbo on :)
After my 'what turbo' thread Mr The Bird stepped in and has offered advice and effectively provided me with a one stop shop option for the rebirth of my cossie.
He has basically organised everything I need including mapping etc and even an MOT!
My T34 turbo arrived at CR Turbos last tuesday and was turned around and sent out 2 days later on thu. Absolutely fantastic service from Mike to swing it and CR to do the job.
Oh it's now a T38 btw.
Basically I'm only home in April for 3 weeks and 3 weeks in June before I move to Oz. So I cheekily asked if all this could be done ASAP and he and Harvey have bent over backwards(ooooooeeeeeerrrrr ) to accomodate me
Mike has organised the turbo along with injectors and Air Injectors and I've been told to shut up and all is in hand
So if you havent already had the pleasure then have a look here

A special thanks also to my mate Rog(T4 standard gearbox boy ) who is going to fit the turbo today for me before I land on sat
I must admit I feel a little bit like 'Arrive and Drive Manning'
Cheers

I hope so dude. I loved the 34 but fuck replacing one of those regularly I've gone with the 'safe' option for Oz. Will more hp wreck the way it drives? Who cares
It's Jimbo that's going to feel like a superstar when he blows me off

There is a very experienced cosworth workshop in Adelaide (based in Holden Hill of all places !) called Quickco if you wanted to get it all assembled over there. The owner has a 3dr himself

Haha you said you didn't want it in your garage so I'm afraid it is
That's fucking awesome news! Big time! Do you know him or just of him?
Not sure Glen but I assume it might be hard to return!! I'm keeping my house at home though.
So update time!
Rog has been a legend today, ffirst trailing round Aberdeen to find the correct washers for the banjo fitting. Then going to my house and fitting the turbo. As you'll see it still needs the strut brace and a battery but wow it's close big up Rog

It Wasnt Me!
Oooh, didn't Vince try and convinve you to go T4 roller bearing?
Lose the big breather tank and get a nice new std header tank in there and it'll look miles better
Underside resto would be sweet, bring it back to working class concours

I HATE the header tank as it happens! Exactly what I thought tonight!
LOL aye concours is where its at.
It's great mate. I've got a strangely weird RS buzz back again. Getting help from friends I made 10-12 years ago!

Aye, I suppose it's not just a case of throwing the T4 on and off you go! Still a good choice you've made however
Metal header tanks are my pet hate, I burn myself on them too often
Catch tank could be swapped too for a nice round one hidden down by the inlet
RS Buzz is weird, mine comes and goes very often, maybe it'll just go completely when I get mine back out I still can't help but look for things on ebay/buy better bits and keep improving it when I can, it's all part of the fun I guess

No problem, makes a pleasant change from messing with my pain in the arse of a saph, and it was either help you out or fit my gearbox it's going away to get done as I'm pig sick of working on that car just now.
T38 is great choice, can't go wrong at all especially with the input of Mike R and vince then who's to question that after a live mapping session. Car was brilliant before, be good to see it turn a wheel after nearly two years as an ornament! I'll have it running tomorrow.
