Pretty sure it'll need WDS/IDS at Ford for that mate.

unless it was virginised before removal, if it was you dont need to do anything but i do think you have to leave it with ign on for 10 mins or so without trying to start it, something along thos lines anyway

A few after market diagnostic machines can virginise fuel pumps but all the ones I've seen need a special lead direct to the back of the pump and cannot be done through the OBD socket. Once they are virginised you just turn on the ignition and leave it on for at least 30 seconds although I usually leave it for about 10 minutes be be sure. If you can't find someone who can wipe the pump then you may have to take it off and send it to a re-manufacturer.

I've tried with a Solus before but was unsuccessful every time and gave up. We have a Bosch KTS which will virginise the pumps but we never bothered with the lead and activation code for the facility as we hardly touch any injector pump equipped vans these days.
