i had one, not a goodwood though. was about ten years ago and was a bity ropey. went like stink though and according to some its a better balanced car than the legendary 205. also, very very l;ight. can be a bit prone to lift off oversteer but not nearly as much as the 205.

Always had a soft spot for the 309, prefer it over the 205 and was supposed to be a bit more forgiving. Always fancied a black 3dr myself. That one looks in superb condition, a friend of mine has a 5dr Goodwood sat in his garden. Isn't in the best of condition but does run, think the HG has gone though

A great handling car, a lot of people say they are better than the 205 in the corners, an old college tutuor of mine had one years back, said you could just throw it into corners and it would just grip and grip.

theres a guy up my road that has both 205 gti and 309 gti's in white, both look pretty hardcore and sound mental.. 205 hasnt been out the garage in about 10yrs
309s id say are better looking cars than the 205...but id love to have a 205 purely for that old skool factor and the good handling

my friend had a late model 1.9 GTI and it was a great car
nicely geared. nealry 40 in 1st and 60 in second, you could slam it on the torsion bar and standard wheels and with some decent shocks and springs up front they were go karts
everyone wants the 205 as its lighter and more desireable but the 309's were good....rare now too
