My Focus was my Mums for 8 years whos a district nurse. The key and ignition barrel were destroyed.
Got a new blade for my key and a new ignition barrell for less than £40!

If it's the blue key, it costs £135 inc vat for a complete coded and cut remote key.
Glad we don't have to pay, leased vans, and they want the van all day.
And you can't change the blade on a genuine Ford key, the fob is glued together, battery is not replaceable it's recharged whilst in the igniton.
That's without the cost of the barrel and fitting.

Its the blue key . ive even tried using the spare (just a plane black ford key) and the van still cuts out while on the move if the key even moves slightly. So im looking at £30 barrell £135 key and a days labour??

Last time I tried to use a Ford Rapid fit centre, not Kwikfit, they still wanted to book it in.

If it's the blue key you can remove the black section at the bottom (the Blade) and replace it for around £3. You can take them apart as I did on a hire van a few weeks ago
