Default Mondeo 1800 graphite Duratek engine

Hi had a problem car has engine management light on,is missfiring all over,stalls on idle,mileometer needle rises when reving up,have fitted new plugs and leads,please help

Coil packs are common.

The DLC is mounted above the throttle on the edge of the dash in a pull down slide.

Yes, replacement ones are around Ł50

Default help with coil pack

hi thanks for your help is it hard to change coil pack diy have ordered one can you advise Also have a mate lending me the data reader is the port the silver like box it has a plastic black grill cover over front with a small bolt to remove.

Coilpack is only 4 torx bolts to change. The 16 pin diagnostic plug is near where your knees would be, have a look just under the dash, it slides downwards. Nothing needs to be removed to access it.

Hi changed coil pack was no different put old one back on now won't start just turns over,had to put jump leads on still won't start,on benefits can not afford garage

Silly as it may sound have you replaced the leads in the correct way?

Have you the old plugs? if so post some pics up.

hi had plugs fitted by garage and leads was ok but was still missfiring ect can you give me your e mail will take pic of engine and send you
