Default why are some people such arse holes

me missus has been saving for a fiesta rs turbo , she had 2k saved so far and in the local paper one turned up for £2500 seemed good from the add loads of money spent etc etc engine rebuilt by ford not long ago no rust , so she txt him asking if he would consider taking less and he replyed no £2500 no offers so she managed to borrow some more cash and we got back to him to arrange to see it last sat (was only 10 miles away) we left our house to go and see it (deposit in pocket) on the way we get a call saying he cant make it hes had problems ,asking us if we can re arrange so we say ok next sat morning so its light and we can have a good look round it he agrees , buy this time me missus is getting excited as you do when your getting your first rs and has been txting him through the week asking various questions getting reg for insurance quotes etc , only for us to get a txt tonight at about 10 oclock saying `just to let you know the cars sold just thought i would let you know cause of saturday , what a fcuking tw*t , really pissed off , she is so upset , arhhhhhhhhhhh

It's not nice mate, but to be fair if someones turned up with the money then i'd do the same. He doesn't know you, so you could just turn up and waste his time. If you wanted it that badly you should've made an effort to go sooner.

we were going to look sooner but the bloke was moaning about time wasters and moaning he had taken time off work for people to look during the week , so we agreed with him to look sat am and had been in touch all week about seeing it , it wouldnt have taken alot for him to txt us saying he had some one interested , the main thing that pisses me off is that we were actually on our way ( money in pocket) to look last weekend and he messed us about by saying he cant make it can we re arrange

then it was not the car for her and you never know it could have been a shitter anyway.
you have to have patience when buying a car even more so a RS
the perfect car will come up eventually also you now have the perfect idea for a birthday present for her now she is buying a RS.

He should have said to you someone was interested and wanted to veiw also unless someone had allready viewed it beforehand. On the other hand it may well have been fucked and he didn't want the hassle of you only living on his doorstep

If you were selling a car and someone turned up at your door with cash and ready to deal there and then, would you do the deal or would you wait on someone who might or might not take it coming at the weekend? considering you have been messed about by people

me personally i would have went one night or as soon as he was free, on the test drive go somewhere well lit and give it a good look over.

Common courtesy seems to go right out the windae when it comes to buying and selling cars these days.

The problem is there are so many timewasters, both buyers and sellers, most people have the attitude that until cash has changed hands, anything goes.

to be fair he should of gave you a ring as soon as the other person was interested in buying it, to let you come down before saturday and have a look round it. Some people wont agree with that, but when i sell a car i treat people how i would wish to be treated. Fair is fair. Bit of a shit thing to do when you had already organised to come view it.

I was selling my vectra Sri lpg converted 3 yrs ago, actually took it to the guy to view with my wife in her car,he was happy with the car, happy with the price, agreed a deal,he went to the bank for a deposit, came back and had decided that he wanted to pay less, told him to get fucked, got home 1 hour later and had another 3 callers,1st guy turns up pays the asking price there and then, only for the 1st guy to fone again asking to do a deal on the initial agreed price, told him it was sold,he then starts bumping n moaning about how we had a deal,no we didn't,you fucked me about, actually got more from the guy that bought it than the 1st guy
Point being, somebody turns up with the cash, giving u what u want, for me anyway, money talks in a car deal, too many bull shitters, but sorry to hear about ur dealings, but the seller was obviously happy with the deal he done

Lucky escape.
If £2k is the top of the budget and she had to borrow more to get to the £2.5k then its a lucky escape!

An old 5hitter Fiesta turbo for £2k is going to cost you a load to make it decent ie once you get it home and find out all the hidden problems its got.

Save up some more or buy her a nice Puma or something that is nice to drive and wont cause endless problems to keep it on the road.

No real problem with mine and I only want 2K for it. Been using it everyday and hasn't let me down.

But your right any old car is going to need money spending on it here and there.

Yep got nothing to hide. More than welcome for people to come see and have a route around and test what ever they want.

I find it funny how this guy has messed you about but some how got the time for someone else to buy it instead. If you buy a car without looking, then your an idiot,so i doubt the guy who bought it just turned up for a few minutes and drove off. So i feel for you mate. You made the effort to changing viewing to suit him and then does this. not good.

What I want to know, is what is with all the texting?

Business should be carried out over the phone or in person.

Agreed. One of the few times it actually doesn't hurt and keeps everyone involved happy. He may even have ended up with two people bidding against each other if he played it like this!

I don't mean to offend any of the above links but they just look like a bag full of work to even make respectable, i have had 3 of these and 2 have been stripped to their inner shell so i know exactly what they hide - my advice is save up some more money and don't buy until you see an absolute minter - shitters require endless amounts of money.

Have a look here at the condition you want https://passionford.com/forum/album.php?u=8358
