EMAIL top.gear@bbc.co.uk in your own words if you want to see my Focus challenge the top super cars in the world. If enough people email them in there own words they will have to take heed, i think it would be right up Jeremy and Richard's street, i want to give the stig it for the day to see what it can do as he is an ex touring car driver and it is his track. An 815bhp Ford Focus home built in Kilmarnock with no fancy computers or technology, 0-60 2.2 seconds 0-100 5.1 seconds top speed of 185mph. Bring it on...................

Make this happen!! Its exactly the kind of thing TopGear needs.
Yea its nice to see all the new cars and super cars and them going abroad etc.
But id love TopGear to be more british.
Challenges, trackdays and events in britain.
And epic cars like the AG Focus is where its at!

yeah need to put them up against some of the top cars that go round the track, so you can see what they are equal to. mine is only stage 3+ saph 2wd but like to see what its equal to from the cars that cost 100x more expensive than what i built it for.

Im afraid its who you know im a friend of the editor of Topgear mag, when the new RS was launched he contacted me for it to maybe to appear on Topgear sort of it was a shite car now its a good one. My car was not running at the time
.
Clarkson is interested in making money & selling books & not in 1off racing cars battling around the Topgear track. 5th gear is much more likely to be interested as it features cars not dropping a 10 ton lorry on to a Rolls Royce which Clarkson thinks makes good TV.

Agree with Rod and have a friend who works for Charlie. They won't do it. Top Gear is a brand these days and nothing else. The tv show is just an advert to a world wide audience for that brand and it does a good job at being just that at the expense of being a decent car show. The overseas stuff like north pole, India etc are good TV but so staged.
5th gear would be a better bet. Getting Tiff and Jason to tear around Combe or Millbrook in the likes of Charlie's and Ollies cars would be ace. Although I bet Charlie and Ollie would probably give them a fair run for their money!!!! I reckon mine and Lees plastic sheds would also make for entertainment in their hands too!!

I agree , fifth gear is a much better bet for gettin modified cars on tv, Charlie from ppc mag had his 26 litre tank engined rover sd1 on there and andy frost had that 2000bhp red victor on tearing up the streets, would be good to put Charlie's car against a gt1 car round a track see what happens

But you forget it has to appeal to a mass audience most of whom have a loose interest in cars, and maybe a bit of modification but are unlikely to even be aware/interested in charlie shaws car.
To them, its a race car thats quick around the track.... which to the lay person is what a race car is supposed to be....
so where would the story be?? its not like it can go on the lap board either.

Isn't Jason Plato a member on the Piston heads site? It ain't top gear but he seems a real petrol head.
5th gear might be more likely. They did have a cardigan one handed moment before.

I love how posts like this bring out all the experts in the world, so far we have had experts on TV audiences, Media sales and we even had an expert on what Jeremy Clarkson wants from life.
People that don't have anything constructive to say should try saying F**k all for a change it might free up some web space for someone else who deserves it.....
