Default Fiesta Durashift ECU problem (UPDATE)

Can these ECU's be repaired? Wife's car is a 1.4 semi auto fiesta. It wont start & it's showing it's stuck in 4th but it's nuetral. Tried the shift actuators & wiring loom & all is ok.

Anyone had this problem or got the ECU's repaired?

Thats suprising, out of the three semi-autos i know of locally two have issues with seized motors.

I would imagine someone can repair the modules but i've no idea who. iirc it's a bosch unit so i would assume you could get a reman one from a bosch dealer?

if it is the ecu then it will need to be synchronized and positions set up as it has the built in master cylinder so needs neutral position and gear selectors initiliazed

Update:

Can someone help or shed any light what im doing wrong?

The car has had 2nd hand actuators & ecu, we've had the car running & will select gears when the ignition is on stage 2, the car will also drive forward (1st & 2nd) but wont go into reverse. The clutch has been bleed up, but when it goes on the IDS to learn the procedures, it will not complete & puts the transmission light back on.

I know the actuators are 2nd hand but they both work...

Any ideas?

It's in the process of being done mate. I know you have to kid the ecu and put a lead direct from the starter motor to get it going and need to blank the transmission light off.
