Well done on coming back and remaining undiscovered for this long Mo, but you couldn't resist waffling complete shite and giving yourself away could you.

My mate had a 320bhp P1 and my old 2wd saff was 330bhp. Off the line he pissed on me but be the end of the quarter mile I was catching him like f*ck. He done 13.2@99mph and I done 13.3@110mph

So your saying a cosworth has better gearing for a 1/4 mile

Find me one that does this

I would say that car doesn't have standard ratios

Very silly thing to say, if someone put the money into a cos like Andy has with an impreza, they'd do similar times. Its all good saying you know of a subaru running so and so times on the 1/4 mile, but this is the real world

p.s. Theres a road legal 2wd 3 door running 8.8s in malta. See what I'm saying here?

For the performance level he is at, Andy probably spends less than anyone else at a similar ( although often much slower ) level. He's just incredibly good at making cars go very very fast, and doing it on a budget.

But correct, comparing extreme examples is nonsense

Why do threads like this go way way off topic...!...if you take the figures that the thread started with and answer on that basis...

So has I think the torque on the Subaru is low I would expect the cosworth to once rolling would take the win....I'm not really convinced on the actual power and torque stated as the Subaru should have more torque iirc.... But on the very basis of what he's quoted the the Cossie would do it.

Depends on the 'drag' distance, Subarus are generally better off the mark, but Cosworths are better up the mph in my experience.

The only reason I mentioned Andys Impreza is the numpty was claiming the Impreza engine is flawed compared to a Cosworth. A car that does 210+ and 8s quarters would beg to differ

Not sure about uk scoob but my twinscroll jdm got those figures with nothing more than a cat back exhaust and a remap, cost about £600 all in and the gearbox and clutch is more than upto the job, cossie however will be quicker at higher speeds but scoob quicker initially so over quarter mile I would say scoob then cossie would overtake once upto higher speed. But in reality not enough in it to worry about both cars would be quick

as said depends on the drag, both in standard form ( 40bhp between them ) the scooby is 6 seconds quicker to 125mph, if the scooby is 350 and cossie 320 still 30bhp between them, not going to close the gap of 6 seconds that much i don't think, not sure how it would go after that as said i don't believe the torque figure is anywhere near correct.

Just do a vid and post it

Based on these figure's.... The Subaru would have its arse handed to it.

If it's a sti with a close ratio box it should beat the cosworth but as said above it depends on driver

I've raced shit loads of them and they always have mummy's boys driving

There was a guy round my way the kept saying his was 400bhp and I left him for dead in a proper nms built 360bhp and 378lbs escos

But I did hit the limiter and drop clutch lol

But the main thing I always find in the Subaru crowd is they all bull shit figures

But I would love a 400bhp sti great cars if set up right

The cossie might eat its box but the subapoi will melt its chocolate pistons.

Tbh though it all depends on the driver.

Has anyone seen Wenny launch his cars he has raced.Ive never seen anyone launch a 4x4 like he does.

I've always found with 4x4s if you half launch them trying to not break them you do break them

My old escos I used to launch that all the time and everytime I would get it too spin all fours lol

Depends on driver

Cant see what everyone is arguing about? Most cars dont even have there claimed power so its all irrelevant. Lol
