Default Philips Blue Vision anyone tried them?

Hi guys I've been looking at buying a new set of uprated bulbs for my car as I'm stuck with standard bulbs at the moment , I've previously bought phillips extreme h7 bulbs and loved them. I was going to buy another set but noticed these new bulbs and wondered if they were as great as they sound or if anyone had used them?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PHILIPS-H7...item4ab36e0967

also want a decent set of led 501s that i'll probably get off ebay

Theyre only 4000k, your normal headlights are about that anyway, you realy should be looking at 5000k-6000k anymore than this and they could be ilegal, you'll have more blue light and less actual working light if you follow.

Ive got a couple of pics to show what i mean.

Tried some Philips jobbies years ago and found them to look abit whiter than standard ones but for lighting up the road they didn't shine any further so since then I've just kept my cars running standard bulbs, it's because of the slight colour change you think there so much better but in reality there not

If you want better lights you need proper HID's

Got a set in the wife's car and have used them in previous cars, they do give a whiter light that normal bulbs, they're not blue as the name suggests!

st3v3 my car is a mk4 fiesta how can I legally upgrade my lights? I've always been told u need headlight washers and automatic height adjusters 2 use hids and 2 pass mot. My car is pretty much standard and I don't really want 2 start changing my insurance and putting it up

And I agree 6000k does look the best.. I prefer the oem look and crisp white light is what I'm after... How much would a decent hid kit cost for my car and I'm pretty sure I would have 2 tell insurance. What difference would it make if it was fitted 2 my mk4 fezzy as I won't have head light washers or the adjusting units. I don't really want 2 start changing headlight unit if I can help it

6000k is heading towards too blue. In my proffesional opinion as a qualified lighting engineer 4300k is absolutely optimal.

I have used the Philips Blue Vision lamps and they are very bright. Downside is they don't last very long. I had to replace them every year!

What would you recommend if u was me then mate? I just want 2 have a brighter light and be road legal. Would u bother with the expense of hids? I've not really looked into hids for about 2 years now, how much would it cost and would it be legal with my current headlights?
