Default Why Do People Do It!?

Story goes, bought a 52 plate KA, needs an engine, picked the car up today, browsing ebay while we were out and located an engine for £100 not far from us.

So down we go, to this, as scrapyards go, rough little yard, cars everywhere in bushes, trees growing around them, and these wernt old cars, 53 plate focus, 54 plate fiesta. Go into the office, clock a load of fast ford and classic ford posters, thought nothing of it tbh, then i look through the door to see an xr2, white, didnt look in bad nick, looked like he was cutting the rear arches out. So we do the deal, carry the engine to the truck and opposite the truck was this,

How i never saw it before i dont know, but it was pretty clear it had been sat there a few months by the dirt and mould that had gathered on the floor around the tyres. Rusty water all over it, but it generally did look in good nick.

It has no tax, but the plate is 1 letter followed by 5 numbers and in the windscreen it has a little yellow slip that has 'OCT 12' written on it so im guessing its come from the isle of man or guernsey or somewhere similar? Clearly the fellas bought it, brought it over, parked it up, disklocked it and left it to rot.
