Lol that idea did enter my head I'll admit but quickly got threw out lol only gonna be on the strip twice a year the car is a good reliable car drove down to ford fair n that last year and hoping to do the same again this year if I fitted nos my finger wouldn't be off that button and I'd blow it up real quick lol

I never says all evos and scoobs I know there is animals out there I just says I have done in the past I'm not saying my car is a drag machine far from it just the fact that running just a chip and injectors done well to beat 380bhp saphs and 400bhp evos etc on the road

Would test the transmission though of course.
If you only go drag racing a couple of times a year then definately better trying more conventional tuning methods though as nitrous gets expensive on the road if you use it all the time.

as in the title im looking to get more power out my 4x4 cossie without gettin more lag from it spec as it is:
t34 with 63 housing
dark greens
s/s exhaust
standard 4x4 intercooler
4x4 exhaust
baileys breather kit
the car is surprisingly quick and beats cossies running geys and all your scoobs n evos etc but i just want more power without getting more lag if its possible lol thinking of 55 siemens and a chip but think am gonna need to fit a rs500 intercooler wich i know will give me lag
had the car running a 2wd exhaust manifold when i fitted the t34 but it drove shit and the lag was real bad so went back to the 4x4 and its nite and day
any suggestions are welcome if you know what i am trying to achieve

it will need a good cooler to run lots of boost the charge temps can rocket when pushing a fairly small turbo to its limit.
Otherwise you end up with the act corrections removing the power you have worked so hard to get.

i think the spec thats been mentioned a few times 55s,500 cooler, msd chip etc seems the best way to go and will hike the power quite a bit ![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
what about an inlet cam change as iv seen these to have good results or is it not worth it at this stage of tune?

Lol ok same here mate just noticed they way it obv came across but yeh back to topic I though about the water injection route although a bit pricey I had seen this done before on a red saph I got last year running graham good set up at 480bhp with 8 greens t4 with standard cooler and water inction I got it broke and the engine was absaloutly melted and I think I found the problem it had an empty water injection tank lol so kind of put of by that idea lol

Yeh I know exactly what your saying mate just hard choice it was set up at falkland performance a few years back and yeh seems to be good set up but not sure if they do live map or if they just use chips from likes of MSD and a few tweaks

Would just like to say thanks to everyone for there comments and suggestion think its gonna be the route that most people have suggested 55's with closed loop chip and a pace 500 cooler 044 fuel pump and hopefully car still feels and drives the same with a bit more poke

the time suggests he is a very good driver, theres a stage 1 skyline that does 11.6 consistantly around 114 mph, his terminal speed will be the indication of power, fair play though hes a good launcher, i only did 12.3 in my old skyline and that was almost 600 hp
lol trap speed 123 - 126 mph though.
